Peer Review Process
The Indonesian Journal of Nursing & Health Care (IJNHC) uses a rigorous double-anonymized peer-review process to evaluate the scientific quality, originality, relevance, and contribution of submitted manuscripts.
PEER REVIEW POLICY
All submitted manuscripts are evaluated according to the journal's editorial policies, author guidelines, and peer-review standards. The review process is designed to provide an objective and constructive assessment before an editorial decision is made.
PEER REVIEW PROCESS
Initial Editorial Screening
Submitted manuscripts are initially assessed by the editorial team to determine whether they are within the journal's scope and comply with the required journal format, ethical standards, and submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors before peer review.
Double-Anonymized Review
The identity of reviewers is kept confidential from the authors, and the identities of the authors are likewise concealed from reviewers during the review process. This double-anonymized approach is intended to support impartial and objective evaluation.
Reviewer Evaluation
Each manuscript is normally evaluated by at least two qualified reviewers selected according to their expertise and the subject of the manuscript. Reviewers assess the manuscript comprehensively, including the title, abstract, background, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, references, tables, and figures where applicable.
Scientific Quality, Novelty, and Integrity
Reviewers evaluate the scientific quality, originality, novelty, methodological rigour, relevance, and potential contribution of the manuscript to the scientific literature. Reviewers may also identify concerns related to plagiarism, research integrity, ethical compliance, inappropriate citations, or other publication ethics issues.
Reviewer Recommendation
Reviewers provide constructive comments and a recommendation regarding the suitability of the manuscript for publication. Reviewer recommendations are considered by the editorial team when making the final editorial decision.

Confidentiality
Manuscripts and reviewer reports must be treated as confidential.
Objectivity
Reviews should be evidence-based, fair, constructive, and objective.
Expertise
Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts within their relevant field of expertise.
Research Integrity
Potential ethical or research integrity concerns should be reported to the editorial team.
EDITORIAL DECISION
Reviewer recommendations are advisory and do not automatically determine the final publication decision. The Editor-in-Chief and editorial team retain responsibility for the final decision based on the complete editorial assessment, peer-review reports, journal policies, ethical considerations, and the overall scientific quality of the manuscript.
