Original Research Article

Original research articles report findings from quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods studies. They should provide a clear research question or objective, appropriate methodology, results, and a discussion of the findings in relation to existing evidence.

Review Article

Review articles provide a comprehensive and critical synthesis of existing research on a clearly defined topic. Reviews should identify important evidence, evaluate current knowledge, highlight limitations or gaps in the literature, and provide implications or directions for future research.

Systematic Review & Meta-analysis

Systematic reviews and meta-analyses should use a clearly defined research question, transparent search strategy, explicit eligibility criteria, appropriate quality or risk-of-bias assessment, and a reproducible synthesis of the available evidence.

Case Study / Case Series

Case studies and case series should provide a clear and detailed description of a specific clinical or health-related phenomenon. The report may describe the presentation, assessment, intervention, clinical course, outcome, and relevant lessons or implications.

Concept Analysis & Development

Concept analysis and concept development articles examine, clarify, refine, or develop concepts relevant to nursing and health sciences. The manuscript should provide a clear theoretical or conceptual basis and demonstrate the significance of the concept to research, education, or practice.

Brief Communication

Brief communications present concise but important research findings, preliminary results, methodological observations, or timely scholarly information that can make a meaningful contribution to the field.

Meta-analysis

Meta-analyses quantitatively synthesise results from eligible studies using appropriate statistical methods. Authors should clearly describe study selection, data extraction, effect measures, statistical models, heterogeneity assessment, and sensitivity or subgroup analyses where appropriate.
